Elijah closed the book and shook his head. He liked Jared. But damned if he could find one thing in what he read that made any sense to him unless the intent was to portray a God that was both callous and petty. As to why bad things happen to good people? Apparently it was because He let them to prove a point. Learning the context of the window had done exactly the opposite of what Jared had suggested it would. It had made the scene less beautiful.
